The Society
The Mines and Energy Society
Was founded in 1996 and inaugurated by the President of Indonesia on 1 December 1997.
Foreword
Prof. Dr. Subroto, Indonesian Minister of Mines and Energy from 1978 - 1988 and Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) from 1988 - 1994.
The late Prof. Dr. Subroto even at an advance age was very active in contributing his thoughts and knowledge for the development of the Mining and Energy Sector in Indonesia.
Founder and Chairman of BIMASENA, The Mines and Energy Society from 1996 - 2022. Founded Bimasena as the meeting place of the mining and energy society.
